We are thrilled to present the first physical release by Noone. An artist who is just focused on his music, giving no information about the person behind the moniker Noone. Trying to deflect attetion away from the person behind the music, the person gets more interesting. But, lets say Noone is just no one.
After self-releasing a couple of digital albums, Noone came up with an idea, which we felt in love with. Inspired by the short Lewis Carroll poem “How doth the little crocodile improve his shining tail” Noone created a dark soundjourney, expressing his feelings about this piece out of the “Alice in Wonderland” world. It´s an one hour long track, which evolves from ambient to a kind of instrumental audio drama. You need to take time for this kind of music. It´s not just listening to ambient, this is an one hour long soundtrack for your imagination. You can discover minimal and subtle melodies and themes, indiscreet beats, strange noises, toy sounds and much more. It´s a real journey for your ears and your imagination.
The album is mastered by Iranian artist Porya Hatami and features guitar sounds by Ashtoreth and additional field recordings by Vladimir Kryuchev.
Strictly limited to 100 copies on CD, housed in a 4panel digisleeve with matt finish and beautiful gatefold inside panels.

Years after “Altar of Drone” thisqietarmy returns to Midira with his new album “Democracy Of Dust”. We are thrilled to present you this masterpiece that documents a very special output by Eric Quach, very oppositional to what you heard before on “Altar of Drone” and other classic tqa releases.
During his residency at the Dissenso Studio in Sao Paolo, while touring with Labirinto, he recorded some tracks using different synthesizers. Back home he added some guitar tracks to the synthesizer recordings and finalized the tracks. The result is an impressive mixture of electronic and drone sounds, refined with ambient layers and subliminal beats.
The album got mastered for vinyl by Brian Wenckebach at Electric Blue Studios in Brooklyn and it takes you on a journey through familiar tqa sounds to some surprisingly electronic tunes with massive walls of sound and beats, that make you wobble while listening. A perfect floating and beating synthiedrone trip.
So get your hands on the console and preorder your copy of this outstanding album by thisquietarmy.
“Democracy Of Dust” comes in an edition of 300 copies on 12inch vinyl with full colour printed labels and a full colour artwork showing Sao Paolo from the bird’s eye view, printed inside-out on the rough side of a 300g cardboard sleeve.
200 copies come in as a regular edition on black vinyl including download code and 100 copies come as a limited edition on transparent blue vinyl, also including a CD with the digital mastered version of the album.

After releasing the highly acclaimed album „Moarntiids” by Piiptsjilling, the Kleefstra Brothers return to Midira with “Dize”, this time by Kleefstra | Bakker | Kleefstra.
Anne Chris Bakker, Romke Kleefstra and Jan Kleefstra joined forces a while ago and started releasing limited collaboration albums. Their sound is a fragile construct build of guitar drones by Romke Kleefstra and Anne Chris Bakker crowned by the unmistakable voice of Jan Kleefstra. It´s the most simple sound structure in their oeuvre, but also the most effective.
Speaking of voice, once again we are happy to preserve a little piece of language history, because Jan brings up some spoken vocals in north Frisian from the Netherlands. A rare language that is almost dead and got spoken by a small group of “north people”. We also offer you the english translation on the inside of the CD package, but it´s just the translation of the words, find out foryourself if you get the meaning. It´s mysterious.
Dize is a dark piece of music, taking you to a journey through the cold seaside of the north. Sounds like waves and winds create an atmosphere that gives you the creeps and on the other side you get a feeling of being safe, surrounded by the warm voice of Jan Kleefstra. The guitar sounds start with a certain motive and than they transform into a big crawling beast of wall with a forcing bass sound and swelling heights.
A four tracks journey between ambient, drone and cinematic soundscapes. We recommend a cold day, with dimmed lights and a cup of tea or coffe for listening to this epic album. Maximum volume preconditioned.
“Dize” comes as a 4 panel digisleeve with matt finish, including the frysian lyrics and the english translation. Limited to 180 copies.

The Athenian musician Nikos Fokas comes from a country that is known for sunny beaches and ancient temples, but his heart beats more for cold and wet places. Krassin, the first russian icebreaker, as a symbol for his musical journey, brings you to this places far beyond your imagination.
“The Eternal Creak of the Icebreaker” is the most ambitious release in our roster, bringing different kind of styles and musicians together into an experimental story of music composed around a dream of the greek experimental musician Nikos Fokas. The album contains 10 tracks including over 70minutes of ambient sounds graced with some very jazzy moments and haunting guest vocals.
While Fokas started the recordings for his album, he dreamed of being at the bottom of a dark sea, covered with ice. The only thing that was interrupting the illuminated stillness was the creak of a icebreaker. The 10 tracks of the album correspond to the ten spheres of the Tree of Life as the voyage of Krassin the icebreaker is a symbolic gradual passage from one sphere to the other. And that is exactly what you can hear on the album: Illuminated stillness with creaking sounds and some jazz moments like the unique “folly land” or “Krassin” surprising with female vocals, that puts you out of the dark silent sea of minimal ambient sounds.
The artwork corresponds to the dream of Fokas featuring the Cabalistic tree as an allegoric light, like that of an icebreaker, creaking through the ice of a dark sea.
The album comes as a 4panel digisleeve CD with matt finish, including a full coloured inlay with all credits and lyrics.

We are very pleased to introduce you the german instrumental trio Unland. Unland are Jonas Meyer (piano/fx), Christian Grothe (guitar/fx/sampler) and Shabnam Pavaresh (clarinet). They came together to create improvised landscapes and the result is an epic marriage of drone and modern classic sounds.
“Die Ruhe nach dem Sturm” (The Silence After The Storm) contains four pieces that crave your attention. The tracks are diving into a world of dark landscapes apparently without any sense of hope, but than a glimpse of light breaks through, just to dive back again into darkness. The trio has a very detailed sense for timing and moods, which makes the epic tracks sound narrative.
Have a listen and dive into the world of Unland:
The CD comes in a thick matt 4panel digisleeve and is limited to 200 copies. 50 of them are housed in a special package including a second CD containing the debut EP by Unland.

“Blue Dusk /// Red Dawn” is the new album by ukrainian artist Monocube. You can expect a dense massive voyage through soundlandscapes, made by guitar, field recordings and alienated vocals, moving slightly between ambient and drone.
The album is about 39 minutes long, but the tracks give you a feeling of endless moving sounds. The soundscapes are very raw, blurred and distorted at the same time, what makes them sounding warm and catchy even if there is no straight structure. Asking Monocube about the intention of the album, he explains that the idea behind the tracks is based on “private associations, memories, atmospheres, vibes of beloved cities, vibe of the night, twilight and dawn times, feelings, emotions…”.
“Blue Dusk /// Red Dawn” is part of an concept by Monocube, consisting by the album and a photobook concentrating on the syzygy between people and nature. The intention behind this work is about human reflections in nature, architecture, music and art. The album is the soundtrack for the book and the book illustrates the music.
The book “SYZYGY” is a cooperation between Monocube and THE PMAM and comes in a hardcover plus dusk cover jacket. 100 pages with colour and black&white photographies.
You can order the CD (190 copies) or preorder the limited CD+BOOK Bundle (10 copies) in our STORE.

We thought it would be nice to add a new direction of experimental sounds to our roster. So, it´s time for our first release featuring vocals.
Piiptsjilling is a quartet consisting of Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek), Mariska Baars (Soccer Committee) and Romke & Jan Kleefstra (The Alvaret Ensemble). Their new album “Moarntiids” features four epic tracks, which were born out of an improvisational session. The sound is very mystical crawling between surreal sounding landscapes made by guitars, field recordings and electronics. The whole mystical impression gets its highlight when Jan Kleefstra joins with his spoken word lyrics. His calm voice talks in a nearly dead language: Frysian from the north of the Netherlands. Sounding like a language that got spoken backwards, somehow, fitting very nice into the soundscapes of the other musicians. And there are also some special moments where you can hear the handsome voice of Mariska, completing the soundimpression of Piiptsjilling.
Turn up the volume and listen to one of the four tracks right here. We are sure, maximum volume will give you the creeps. Find out for yourself:
“Moarntiids” will be released on CD in a limited edition of 200 copies, housed in a very nice digisleeve including artworks by Mariska Baars.

Last year when Aidan Baker released his Album “The Spectrum Of Distraction” including collaborations with 18 different drummers, he went on tour with A Sun Amissa to support his album.
This circumstance was the birth of an idea to do a show with Aidan Baker and a drummer. The guys over at thepostrock.de invited Aidan to do an improvisational show with Maik Erdas (former drummer of disbanded experimental Doom Trio Kodiak) in a church in Bochum (Germany).
The result was a 50 minutes long set full of different kinds of soundideas. Beginning with smooth melodies and rhythms, changing to experimental blueprints ending in an epic wall of doom sounds.
We are very proud to present you the documentation of this very unique evening. Aidan Baker put some final hands on the masters and the result is “Cameo”, a Vinyl + CD release. The vinyl contains the first and the last part of the set and the CD completes the package including the whole set from the church show.
Limited to 250 Vinyl + CD sets
Vinyl: Cameo I + II (40 minutes)
