GRANDBRUIT
We thought it is a good time for some new sounds from Canada. So we like to introduce Grandbruit to you.
Creating his pieces primarily from field recordings and guitar loops, the Montreal native Francis Tremblay utilizes the banalities of everyday life and his city’s landscape as inspiration for his music. His album “Rivière Rouge” is full of shimmering and floating ambient tracks. It´s a very nice journey through a landscape, maybe that one shown on the cover artwork, but also an imaginary landscape, that everyone should have in mind these days. Listen, enjoy and forget about the daily pandemic routine, at least for a moment.
Here is how Grandbruit describes his work: “Rivière Rouge is a record seeping of nostalgia. The fragmented, fragile and often dense tracks are inspired by memories of past adventures because in the worst of times, it is important to remember the best of times.”
