N + THE STAR PILLOW
We proudly present to you the first collaboration by two Midira family members: N + The Star Pillow.
N (Hellmut Neidhardt) and The Star Pillow (Paolo Monti) met in Duisburg (Germany) some years ago, to make a collaboration they have been talking about for a while. Fortunately Tobias Stieler (Kokomo) recorded that studio session, cause now we can present you 45 minutes of a very special guitar collaboration.
“From The Ashes” features two long tracks. “His Coming” starts as a quiet ambient track and transforms into a drone track, just to transform again into a track with psychedelic rock elements. “Tabula Rasa” moves closer to blues elements and ends up in a meandering noise soundwall. Both musicians are leaving their trademark guitar sound cosmos to create something unique. A warm sounding album, showing new aspects of both guitarists. The mastering by Dirk Serries aka Fear Falls Burning highlights every dynamic element of the tracks and gives the album the finishing touch.
“From The Ashes” comes in a super limited run of 100 copies on 140g black vinyl. Housed in a reverse board printed sleeve, all designed by N.
