SOGAHUKAU
We like to introduce you to Sogahukau, an experimental duo consisting of Yama Yuki and Kentaleaux Nakajima.
Sogahukau recorded an album called “The Eternally Melting Ice of John Gorrie” featuring five epic and smooth ambient tracks, using the sounds of air conditioners.
Walking through the streets in a small town in Japan, hearing beautiful sounds, somehow sounding like synthesizers or guitar drones, discovering that it was just an air conditioner, was the beginning of what became this outstanding album.
We really love the sounds Sogahukau created out of field recordings of air conditioners. It´s not even important to know the origin of the sounds, but it gives the music a certain soul and character, which we like a lot.
