55 Cancri e is an exoplanet far away and also the moniker of Swedish multidisciplinary artist Sara Hausenkamp. An inward journey consisting of endless guitar loops, wordless voices, also singing in Swedish, field recordings and synthesizers creating a melancholic, emotional and atmospheric soundcosmos.
On ”Du känner himlen” Sara Hausenkamp moves further into more experimental sounds, pairing guitar and electronic sounds with her voice, moistly using wordless lyrics but also swedish lyrics like on the title track, which is an outstanding folk drone track with mesmerizing melodies, using also a couple of instruments like slowly buzzing sounds of an accordion, plus guest musicians on Sax and Violin.
The tracks are mostly fleet-footed but occasionally also dark and heavy, which brings a certain tension. Sara Hausenkamp unites elements of folk, drone, ambient and electronic music into a growling mixture. ”Du känner himlen” was mastered by Aidan Baker, who concentrated on bringing out all the details of the different soundelements.
The album comes in a limited edition of 60 copies on tape. We have 30 pink transparent and 30 green transparent tapes, featuring onbody prints on both sides of the tape shell. Housed in a maltese cross folded sleeve printed on both sides. Every copy comes with a bandcamp download code.

”Du känner himlen” is about the journey of becoming older and getting to know yourself on a deeper level. It’s about longing for deep and meaningful connections. It’s about looking at someone and seeing how they look up at the clouds and can feel the whole sky within themselves and you do too. It connects the two of you and becomes something larger than life, something beyond space and time. It’s love and you feel it with every little bit of your body and soul. You feel the sky and everything is a part of you and you are a part of everything.
