LIQUID SPHERE & BRUNO VERNERET
Liquid Sphere is the moniker of Laurent Guerrier. He released some ambient records on labels such as Taâlem, Shambala Records and Doctsect in the early 2000s. After a long hiatus, he started making music again, after Bruno Verneret joined him with his haunting clarinet sounds.
That collaboarations turned out very substantial and after releasing their debut “Landscapes” they continued working together. “Landcapes II” shows the variety of their collaboration. The blend of ambient soundscapes and experimental clarinet sounds, brings up some breathtaking calm tracks, always with a little tension, sometimes turning into raw soundwalls, sometimes just dissapearing in the dark.
“Landscapes II” is a compilation of different tracks, that were supposed to be on one release. “Closer Further” was originally available on the “Homework – Year 8 compilation” released by taâlem in December 2023. “The Outer Edges” was remixed from a track originally available on the “Ice Heart Father” compilation released by Camembert Electrique in December 2023. “See What You Cannot See” and “Holding Hands” are previously unreleased.
