MARCO MARZUOLI
We are happy to welcome Marco Marzuoli to the Midira Family and we proudly present “The Magic Mountain”, an epic album featuring two extended tracks.
“The Magic Mountain” starts with “Excursus on the Sense of Time” featuring a meandering melodie, evolving into a warm and raw ambient drone piece, just to disappear slowly after 20 minutes. “Fullness of Harmony” brings up some shimmering noise drones, like a freezed moment, 20 minutes of crackling and humming.
The album features artwork by Marco Marzuoli, who used an expired old film to shoot some pictures. So what you see on the cover, isn´t reworked with filters. It’s the natural effect of the expired film, with all the rawness and lines in the image.
The album comes in an edition of 50 copies on recycled blackberry purple tapes with full onbody prints on both sides, housed in a maltese cross folded sleeve, printed on both sides.
